Suggestions Rates Could Remain As Is For Next 12 Months

The Reserve Bank of Australia has forecast that the cash rate will remain at a record-low 2.5 per cent for at least one more year. The board agreed that a period of stable interest rates was the most sensible course of action, according to the minutes of its recent monthly meeting.

RBA Keeps Rates On Hold

On Tuesday, the Reserve Bank of Australia announced that it is keeping the official cash rate on hold. At its monthly Board meeting, the RBA decided it was appropriate to keep the cash rate at 2.50 per cent.   The next meeting of the RBA Board will be held on August 5, 2014.
